Calibration · Certification · Validation · Service

Your shop,
on the record.

JBBK Labs puts jobs, certificates, stickers, validation protocols and service history in one system, for shops that calibrate, certify, validate and service other people's equipment. Built inside a working calibration and certification lab, and set up for your shop by the person who built it, on site or over video.

Published prices. One price per shop, never per seat.

Readings, report and sticker, all done on the tablet.

Paperwork and stickers on a filter certification: down from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.

Reported by the certification team at the lab where the platform was built, after moving to it: their figure, not a model. At a hundred certifications a month, ten minutes each comes to about seventeen hours.

Switch off what you don't.

Calibration, certification, validation, and PM and service live in one system. A calibration-only shop never sees a validation screen. Your logo and your two colours carry through every screen, certificate and sticker, and your company name goes on every certificate. Ours goes on none of them. Try it:

Calibration

  • As found and as left, graded as you type. An out-of-tolerance reading is announced across the table, not tucked into a corner.
  • Measurement uncertainty budgets worked the GUM way, with the test uncertainty ratio on every point.
  • Your reference standards and their own due dates, and a recall list that builds itself.

Certification & cleanrooms

  • Biosafety cabinet, fume hood, clean bench and isolator reports, already built.
  • Cleanroom reports on your own SmartDraw floor plans: every filter tappable, readings entered on the drawing.
  • The particle counter's export read straight in, instead of typed off its screen.

Validation

  • IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and requalifications for chambers, incubators and other temperature units, and centrifuge IQ/OQ.
  • Your customer authorizes the plan and approves the finished record from an email link.
  • With AI reading switched on, datalogger summary reports are offered for the tables, and nothing is filled in until a person accepts it, cell by cell.

PM & service

  • PM sheets, and service reports with captioned photos.
  • A scheduling board, and service agreements that count the visits sold against the visits made.
  • Quotes, and invoices exported for QuickBooks.

In the field

  • Installs on an iPad like an app, with its own Back, Refresh and Share buttons.
  • Get a day's units ready before you lose signal, work the whole visit in a basement or a shielded suite, and save there.
  • At the end of the visit your customer signs off the day's work on the tablet with a finger, signal or not.

Your customers

  • A portal with their certificates, their units' due dates and a Coming Due report, so they stop emailing you for last year's certificate.
  • They sign protocols and ask for corrections there, on the record.
  • A read API and webhooks, when their systems want the data too.

One sticker. Three doors.

The QR code on the machine knows who is holding the phone.

Your technician

The unit's whole history

Every certificate the unit has had, newest first, and one tap starts today's from the last one.

Your customer

Their own portal

Signed in, they land on that unit in their portal: certificates, due date, a recalibration request.

Anyone else

A public check

An auditor or a stranger sees whether the unit's calibration is current and who issued it. Nothing more.

What changes from Excel, Word and a shared drive.

Most shops we talk to run on a spreadsheet, a Word template and a folder somebody keeps tidy. Here is the same work, job by job.

The jobTodayOn the platform
A certificateTyped into a Word template, saved to a folder, emailed when somebody asks.Entered once on the tablet, signed, and in the customer's portal when it's approved.
What's coming dueA spreadsheet somebody keeps up.A recall list that builds itself, reminders by email, and due dates and a Coming Due report in the portal.
The stickerTyped again and stuck on.Printed from the record, with a QR code that opens the unit.
A correctionA phone call and a reissued PDF.The customer marks it in the portal, and you fix it through the same approval as the first time.
Cleanroom readingsWritten on a printout of the map, then typed up.Entered on the map itself, on the tablet.
An auditPulling folders.Every change on the record: who, when and from where.

Built for the audit, not just the job.

Your quality system is what gets audited. The platform is built so the records it keeps will stand up when somebody asks.

Your own database

Every company runs on its own database and its own deployment. No other shop's records are in it, ever.

Every change on the record

Who changed what and when, from which address and which device. Nobody can edit or delete an entry, administrators included, and changes to your settings are recorded by the database itself.

Every sign‑in on the record

Sign‑ins, failed attempts, sign‑outs and timeouts, each with its address and device. Five wrong passwords lock the account for fifteen minutes, and an idle session signs out after a time you choose.

Access you can review

A deactivated account is signed out at its next click and can't sign back in. Every login and permission can be reviewed and the review recorded inside the program.

Signatures that mean something

A signature records who signed, when, and the exact sentence they agreed to. With the Regulated add-on, a password at the moment of signing and an approval sequence before anything is issued.

Files behind the login

Certificates, signatures and floor plans are served only to someone signed in and allowed to see them.

Your data comes out

An administrator can download your core records, certificates, readings, customers, equipment and standards, as one Excel workbook at any time. A full export is yours on request.

Backed up and patched

Hosting, backups and security updates are part of support, not extras on an invoice.

The Regulated add-on is built for accredited labs and their regulated customers: auditor-facing views of the trail, the 21 CFR Part 11 signing controls, an IQ/OQ package for your quality unit to execute and approve, a validation summary with every release, and support for your ISO/IEC 17025 obligations under clause 7.11. Software is never compliant on its own; your quality system is. What we don't claim: a SOC 2 report, or that the platform makes you compliant by itself.

One build week. Then it's running.

You don't get a login and a manual. The person who built the platform sets it up for your shop, in person or over video, and stays on the hook for it.

  1. Step 1

    We learn your shop

Your forms, your records, and how a job really moves from the phone call to the sticker.

  2. Step 2

    We build it your way

Your departments, documents and branding. Your records come over from what you run today: give us access to it, or send us the files.

  3. Step 3

A build week with your team

In your shop, or over video calls when the trip doesn't make sense. Either way your team is trained on your own customers and equipment, through go-live.

  4. Step 4

    Then it's supported

Hosting, backups, security updates and every new feature, for as long as the agreement runs.

Broken is on me. New is a project.
Jacob Hargett, founder

Anything wrong, misconfigured or not working the way it was set up is fixed under support, with no clock and no charge. Anything genuinely new is quoted at a fixed price and agreed in writing before the work starts.

For the people who keep everyone else's equipment running.

If your shop services other people's equipment on a schedule and hands them a certificate somebody audits, it runs on the same bones: jobs, a record per unit, documents, and customers who want to see them.

Ready today

Cleanroom & biosafety certifiers

Built alongside a certification team that runs on it every day. Cabinets, hoods, clean benches and isolators are already in it. Load your SmartDraw maps, tap a filter, enter the reading, and the report prints the maps in the order your team wants.

Ready today

Calibration labs

Start from the unit's last certificate, take today's readings, print the sticker. Uncertainty budgets, standards and recall built in. Keep your bench automation; this runs the business around it.

Ready today

Validation & equipment service

PM sheets for sterilizers, washers, freezers, centrifuges and incubators; chamber and centrifuge protocols your customer signs; and every unit's history behind the sticker on the machine.

More than one site

Multi-site shops

A second site adds $2,400 a year to support and $3,500 to $6,000 once to set up. Not a second agreement.

Don't see your trade?

Industrial hygiene, scales and weighing, backflow, relief valves, gas detection. The spine is built; your trade's forms are a scoped, fixed-price project, and your shop is the first to run them.

Tell us what your shop needs

Priced per shop. Published.

You buy the system once at the level you need, then an annual support agreement keeps it hosted, backed up and updated. A team of twenty pays what a team of five pays.

Sized for shops of about 5 to 40 people: Standard for one or two departments, Complete for a full-service shop. Under about eleven people, per-seat software can cost less over five years; the comparison below shows where the line falls.

Standard + Regulated: $30,000 to build, $9,600 a year, $78,000 over five years, about $1,300 a month

Complete + Regulated: $40,000 to build, $12,000 a year, $100,000 over five years, about $1,670 a month

Included at every level

Discovery, configuration, moving your records over, your documents set up, training and go-live. The build week is in your shop or over video calls, whichever suits you. There is no 30-day window: what you get is supported for as long as the agreement runs. Moving up a level later costs the difference plus $2,500, and adding Regulated later costs $17,500.

What support covers

Hosting, backups, security patching, platform updates and new features as they ship. Fixes are unlimited for as long as the agreement runs. Invoiced yearly, and a purchase order is fine. Support rises each year by CPI or 3%, whichever is greater, as the agreement states.

New work, fixed price

Something the platform doesn't do yet is quoted at $2,500, $6,000 or $12,000 by size and agreed in writing before it starts. A price never moves after the fact.

What you bring

Tablets and a label printer are yours to buy; we'll tell you what works. The customer portal and e-signatures come with every level, not as add-ons.

Yours to keep

Your data, and your system as it is set up, are yours. If support ever lapses you get 30 days' written notice before hosting stops, and a full export whenever you ask.

Five years, side by side

Per-seat software is priced by the login, every month, for good. Under about eleven people it costs less than Standard over five years; it also moves none of your records, builds none of your forms and never comes to your shop. Past that, it costs more with every hire. Move the slider to your headcount.

Bars share one scale. Per-seat figures use typical published cloud pricing of $50–70 per user per month over 60 months; your own quotes will differ, and our support figures are at today's rate. Bench automation such as Transmille ProCal or Fluke MET/CAL drives your instruments and is not replaced here: keep it on the bench, and retire the business software around it.

Built by a working technician, not a boardroom.

JBBK Labs is Jacob Hargett. He has spent ten years in biotech calibrating instruments, keeping equipment running with preventive maintenance, and writing and executing IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols.

He built this platform inside the calibration and certification lab where he works, side by side with its certification team, to replace the spreadsheets, Word templates and shared drive everyone there ran on.

It runs that lab's calibration certificates, certification reports, stickers and validation protocols every working day, and every rule in it came from a real job. A unit that fails gets an Out of Service sticker with no due date on it, because a date on a sticker is a claim. A customer who wants last year's certificate finds it in the portal without calling.

When you call, you get the person who wrote it.

Questions shops ask first.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You pay to build the system once, then an annual support agreement: $4,800 a year for Standard or $7,200 for Complete, plus $4,800 with the Regulated add-on. It covers hosting, backups, security updates and new features. There are no per-user charges.

Do we own it?

Your data and your configured system are yours. An administrator can download your core records to Excel at any time, a full export is yours on request, and if support ever lapses you get 30 days' written notice first.

The platform's code stays with JBBK Labs. That is how every shop on it gets every improvement made after it signs.

Does it replace Transmille ProCal or Fluke MET/CAL?

No, and it doesn't try to. Bench automation drives your instruments; keep it. This runs the business around the bench: jobs, certificates, stickers, recall, your customers and their portal.

Is it ISO 17025 or Part 11 compliant?

Software is never compliant on its own; your quality system is. The platform is built to support it, with an audit trail of every change, sign-in records, a password at signing and an approvals queue. At the Regulated level it comes with an IQ/OQ package for your quality unit to execute and approve, and a validation summary with every release.

Does it send our data to an AI service?

Only if you switch AI reading on. Reading a datalogger summary or an old report into the program uses an outside AI service, and it is off unless your shop turns it on. Nothing it reads is filled in until a person accepts it.

Is our data kept with other shops' data?

Never. Each company runs on its own database and its own deployment.

What do we need to run it?

A browser. It runs on a computer in the office and on a tablet in the field, and installs on an iPad like an app. Stickers print as PDFs sized for label tape. Tablets and a label printer are yours to buy, and we'll tell you what works.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Before you lose signal, get the day's units ready on the tablet. Then work the visit in a basement or a shielded suite and save as you go.

What happens when something breaks?

Broken is on me. Anything wrong or not working the way it was set up is fixed under support, with no clock and no charge. New work is quoted at a fixed price before it starts.

Do you have to come to our shop?

No. The build week can be in your shop or remote. Remote means video calls with your team, and your records come over the way that suits you: give us access to the system you run now, or send us the files and we move them across.

Either way, the person on the calls is the person who built the platform.

How long until we're running?

It depends mostly on how many systems your records come from. The build week is the last step, and your team is trained through go-live.

Send us your logo.

We'll send back a screenshot of your shop's name and colours on the platform, so you can see it before you spend an hour on a walkthrough. No drip campaign, and no calls unless you ask for one.
